Sculptra ™

Sculptra is a new injectable product used to counteract the loss of fat beneath the skin, a condition called lipoatrophy. Loss of facial fat is especially common in women over the age of 40. This facial fat loss results in a prematurely aged appearance, particularly in thin-skinned women. Sculptra helps restore the youthful fullness and firmness of the face. Sculptra is injected under the deep dermis layer of the skin to improve the appearance of sunken cheeks, hollow eyes, indentations and wrinkles. Its main ingredient is a poly-lactic acid that has been used for 20 years in surgical products, so there is no need for allergy testing. Clinical trials have shown that the benefits of Sculptra treatments can last up to two years or longer.
